Poems by Aubrey O'Fallon
So you keep your distance
and won't admit your need
Is this life or just existence
I want to feel your greed
While others pant and scrape
you let me tell you no
And so I too easily escape
wherever I want to go
So I rewarded you with a chance
It was a clever way to start
But if you continue in this stance
you'll never win my heart
I'll be dreaming about the others
while sitting here next to you
While bliss, just beyond us hovers
waiting for you to take your cue
